Oh, for shame! My thoughts exactly; how can you “cross Japan” and leave out Shikoku? Oh well, hope you make it next trip. And I recommend you see Kompira-san in Kotohira. Great old-world atmosphere and enough steps to burn off the biggest bowl of Udon you can eat.

You are coming to Shimane!!!

Islandchi, yup it’s a shame.
I’ve actually been to Kompira and loved it, even though climbing those 800 or so steps on a 36C August day was rather exhausting.
Tabehodai, this will be my first time in Shimane. Is that where you live?

I know! I was really disappointed about that. It turns out there just isn’t enough time to see everything.
Luckily I have been to Shikoku twice- just the Takamatsu area. I think the inland sea is beautiful and I hope to return again someday. Just not on this tour.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and for posting the first comment!
