Hostel A Silk Tree in Yokohama

Stayed for 3 days in this hostel called A Silk Tree in Yokohama district in May 2006. The english speaking staff here are really very friendly and kind and it feels like home. They will go the extra mile to make your stay here a great experience!

The room which I stayed in is very clean. It is a Japanese style single room with tatami bedding. However, they do let 2 people stayed in the room with a small additional charge with an extra tatami bedding. The room also comes with air-con, TV and fridge.

There is even lan cable in every room and you can be connected to the internet if you bring your own laptop. However, if you did not bring your own laptop, there is internet available free at the lobby/reception area.

This hostel is also very conveniently located near the JR Ishikawacho train station. After which it is about 3-5min walk from the station. The JR Ishikawacho train station is only about 2-3 stops from JR Sakuracho and JR Yokohama train station. Very near the places of interest/attractions in Yokohama area.

It is certainly a great place stay. I will recommend to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive accomodation in Yokohama district to stay there. The website address is: http://www.silktree.biz

Will bring back with me the memory of the friendly faces of the hostel staff and nothing but the kindness that they have shown me during my short stay when I go back home.
