Tokyo Tower
Tokyo Tower , tallest structure in Tokyo is 333 meters high. Welknown sysmble of Tokyo and very popular sightseeing spot, but its original function is a radio and television broadcasting antenna.
People can go up to observatory which is located at 223 meters and can enjoy wide view of Tokyo, when the weather is clear, you can see Mt. Fuji. And night time the illumination there is very beautiful. The light is on from sunset till midnight.The colour of the light changes according to seasons.
Starting from last weekend, Tower shows ‘TOKYO’ and ‘2016′ in its sign during night time to express Tokyo’s bid to host the 2016 Olympic game. (see the picture. it is not so clear though)
In 2011 another tokyo tower will be constructed. It is reported to become taller than current Tokyo Tower, 610meter high and will be named ‘Sumida Tower’.
