How to Save Your Expense - Necessities
Tokyo gives you more options to save daily expense than any other major cities in the world. In fact, without any knowledge, you might have to spend a lot and will be tired of your life here.
First, and most importantly, you should save your expense from foods and drinks, thus you are not supposed to eat out! There are different types of groceries in Tokyo; those for celebrities and riches, those for ordinary, and those selling cheap products. Their qualities vary to some extent. At cheap groceries, you may find products with bad quality, or are unlikely to find any organic products. However, Japanese farmers impose strict quality control to themselves. Therefore, you do not have to worry about their quality.
Now, it is your own task to find out a grocery nearby. Not only supermarkets but small groceries could sell their products cheap. An option is Shop 99 with their branches all over Tokyo. It is one of popular 100-yen shops but was the only one selling fresh foods. Recently, Lawson Store 100 followed, but has fewer branches yet. You can find fresh vegetables, lunchboxes, and other assorted side dishes, for 100 yen. You have to know that not all of their products are cheaper than other groceries. You can still compare the prices if you have enough time and patience.

Furthermore, you can save costs from other products. There are a lot of 100-yen shops in Tokyo; Daiso and CanDo are a few of them. Everything in their stores are 100 yen plus tax. They sell stationary, kitchenware and tools as well as foods and cosmetics. Their quality is good in average although you might have to remind yourself that some are fragile.
