Hanging around Town Late at Night

Once called a sleepless town, more shops and restaurants open until late or never close, as the demand toward them increases since a lot of people in Tokyo work at night and go to bed in the morning. Almost all of the convenience stores open 24 hours a day, of course. They used to close at night until the 1980s, however, decided to open for whole day. As the name implies, convenience stores sell a variety of stuff such as snuck, alcohol and tobacco as well as stationary, panties and condom. Their goods are pretty expensive since their convenience is included as a factor of their products.

Many of family restaurants as well as some of fast food restaurants open for 24 hours too. McDonald’s recently decided to open highly-demanded branches at night. You can easily find a lot of bars opening until early morning.
