Tea ceremony room “Jo-an”(Nagoya) “Kodaman’s J-TRIP”

There is a very famous Japanese tea ceremony room in Inuyama taking about 40min from Nagoya station. It’s near from Inuyama castle(National treasure). This place is called “Jo-an” built by Oda Urakusai and designated as a national treasure in 1936. Why we went there were becasuse “Jo-an” is one of three best tea ceremony rooms and my wife is a teacher of the way of tea ceremony. According to “Jo-an” ’s website(Japanese only), it’s only opened March and November otherwise we maybe not be able to see it.

In November, Tinted autumn leaves are very colorful and beautiful. I think here is one of the great places of seeing autumn leaves.

For us, finding “Jo-an” was a little bit difficult. Because”Jo-an” is located in the area of Meitetsu Inuyama Hotel. If someone want to go there, going toward to this hotel must be easy way. Actually we went back and forth in front of the gate of this hotel. My wife told me that this tea ceremony is very gorgeous in detail but I who don’t know very well about tea ceremony thought here is very simple.
