Ise Jinguu(Shrine) in Mie “Kodaman’s J-TRIP”

I think many foreigners have been “Ise Jinguu(Ise shrine)”. but I’ve never been there even thourgh I and wife had the wedding ceremony in “Tokyo dai jinguu” which is related to Ise shrine. So we dicided to go to Ise to see how great and powerful Ise Jinguu is. From Nagoya, it took about 2 hours by car. Ise jinguu consists of Gaku and Naiku and very wide spread. We didn’t go to Geku because it is a little bit far for us. The photos below were NAIKU.

Before reaching at Ise Shrine, we enjoyed looking around the the street going to Ise Jinguu which called ”Okage Yokocho.” This street is very old Japanese style. On this street, there are many restaurants ,some of which are great. (such as Butasute) okage yokocho

Ise jinguu is one of histrical shrines in Japan . It was built 7th century. Many peoples came to here for praying from old times. There is much information on Ise shrine’s website.( in English)

Because Ise shrine is very famous, so we simply imagined here was very gorgeous like Istukushima Shrine but Ise shrine was so simple and really powerfull. This shrine is very known as one of POWERSPOT in Japan. We were suprised at “Sengu” which is that change a place and rebuild “Shrine” every 25 years. Next Sengu will be conducted in 2013.
