Hakata Port Tower is very generous. It’s free of charge to go up this observation tower ! Isn’t that amazing, while Tokyo Tower cost 820 yen for adults, Fukuoka Tower 800 yen ?

Not only generous, Hakata Port Tower is friendly to little children. At the bottom of the tower, there’s a very nice museum we can learn a lot about Hakata Port, and the corner is a children’s place with some sea related picture books!

ANOTHER TOWER IN FUKUOKA; FUKUOKA TOWER

Now let me mention that there’re two towers in Fukuoka prefecture (Hakata is a small traditional town of Fukuoka). One is this Hakata Port Tower, and the other is Fukuoka tower. Both are standing seaside, but Fukuoka tower is newer (completed in March,1989), and is taller (234m)
