Gyu don (Butaste near Ise shrine) “Kodaman’s J-TRIP”

On the way of going Ise shrine “Naiku”, there is a street called “Okage Yokocho”.

This street was reproduced as the town of Meiji era in 1993.

The meaning of this street is “thank to the Ise shrine. ”

I think people wanting go to Ise shrine is automatically walk through this street and feel a Japanese old time.

sake

There are 43 shops and restaurants on this area.(such as Ise Udon, Sake, Sushi, Gyu don)

We went to “Buta Sute” for eating Gyu don(Beef bowl) and Gyu niku Teishoku( style like Beef bento) .

Literally “Buta Sute” means “Dumping Pork” but it actually means Beef in this restaurant is greater than Pork.

So we were really interested in the taste of the Gyu don(Beef Bowl).

When it was served, we were very suprised at the color of Gyu don. It was dark dark brown like black.

However, that was really tasty and not greasy. This restaurant uses Ise Beef (now it’s very known as Ohmi Beef).

There are a lot of people making a line for lunch but we went there arround 14:00

and it was getting decrease. Going there after 13:30 must be great especially on weekend.

Butasute’s Croquette is also very famous.
