If I am asked where we can eat good Soba, I want to highly recommend “Horii” in Azabu Jyuban. Azabu jyuban is well known as the place there being many good restaurants or shops. Those {Tsukishimaya(Imagawayaki),Naniwaya(Taiyaki), Mamegen(beens) and Sarashina “Horii” } are my recommendations.

Imagawa yaki made by Sugar, egg and flour is one of the famous sweets in Tokyo. The name of “Imagawa” yaki comes from Imagawa Brigde near Nihon bashi(bridge) in Tokyo. There are many shops serving Imagawa yaki in Tokyo.

NANAKUSA GAYU, Seven Herbs Risotto to eat on January 7th

This is Nanakusa Gayu.
Nana means seven, kusa means leaves (or herbs), and Gayu (Kayu) means rice porridge.
It’s Japanese tradition from old times, to eat this Nanaksa Gayu on Jan.7th every year, wishing for good health and no disaster during the year.

Hitsumabushi (Nagoya) “Kodaman’s J-TRIP”

“Hitsumabushi” is actually a kind of “Unagi don(Eel rice bowl)” .However, because the way of grill is different from its in other city. Usually “unagi don” is 2 pieces of broiled eels on the top of rice, but “Hitsumabushi” is cut eels in 1cm each.
